Our Parish
Our School is linked to two Parishes in the town: St Patrick’s, Westbury Street and Christ the King, Trenchard Avenue.
Our Parish Priest is Father Pat O’Neill, who looks after both churches. Originally from County Tipperary in Ireland, he has been a Priest in our Diocese for many years. He loves his sports, especially golf. We thank Father Pat for his service to our parish and school community and keep him in our prayers.
Mass times:
St Patrick’s Church:
Saturday Vigil Mass: 6pm
Sunday Mass: 11am
Christ the King Church:
Sunday Mass: 9:30am
Weekday Masses are also offered in both churches. The School community joins parishioners throughout the year to celebrate Mass together either in school or at the Parish churches,
We are immensely pleased with our strong Parish links. We’re really grateful for the support of Father Pat and our Parishioners who enhance the experiences of our pupils and help develop them spiritually.
Celebrating Our Patron Saint, St Patrick
St Patrick is not only celebrated in Ireland but all around the world and especially in Thornaby. It is always a big day in our town community as we celebrate the Catholic heritage and history of Thornaby and say a special thank you to the Catholic families that first settled in Thornaby so that a church and school could be built. The church is always filled with prayers, singing, dancing, shamrock and green on the feast day as the whole community gathers together.
