Religious Studies is an engaging and thought-provoking programme of study which allows students to develop their understanding and appreciation of religious beliefs and teachings, as well as the disciplines of ethics and the philosophy of religion. This course features a wide variety of relevant and contemporary these such as death and the afterlife, the problem of evil, sexual ethics and gender. These topics naturally encourage classroom debate and opens students minds to different viewpoints. Students will gain critical and evaluative skills, which are highly sought after by higher educational institutions and employers. The course is structured into three units, studied over the two years: Philosophy of Religion, Religious Ethics and Developments in Christian Thought.
