At St Patrick’s our pupils play an active role in leading and developing the Catholic Life and Mission of the school. Through our chaplaincy groups, pupils are encouraged to deepen their faith, serve others, and live out Gospel values.
Young CAFOD Leaders
Our Young CAFOD Leaders promote Catholic Social Teaching through fundraising, awareness campaigns, and action for global justice. They encourage our school community to respond to the needs of others and become active agents of change. In 20205/26 our CAFOD young leaders have raised over £1000 to bring clean water supply to rural community. They have also been involved in the creation of our Saints garden working with our Eco pupil leaders caring for our common home.
Bible Study Group
The Bible Study Group provides opportunities for pupils to explore Scripture, reflect on God’s Word, and discuss how Gospel teachings can be lived out in everyday life. Through prayer and reflection, pupils deepen their understanding of their faith.
Our Charity and Community Leaders
Our Charity and Community leaders are active in the Catholic Life of the school through arranging events that mark different points within the liturgical year. For example, Food Bank collections during Advent, activities on Shrove Tuesday and the children’s Easter/Christmas hampers for the Hospital.
Together, these chaplaincy groups help to bring our mission of Faith, Family, Future to life, enabling pupils to take ownership of their faith and contribute positively to the life of the school, parish, and wider community.
