Pupil Premium

St Patrick’s Catholic College receives Pupil Premium funding from the government each year. All schools receive pupil premium funding based on every pupil on roll that is currently in receipt of free school meals or has been in the last six years, those that have been looked after by the local authority at any point in their lives, and those whose parents currently or have previously served in the armed forces.  As a school we are totally committed to raising the aspirations and standards of achievement of all students and there are a number of ways in which we are striving to close gaps in achievement.

If parents/carers living in Stockton-On-Tees are on a low income they may qualify for Free School Meals (to apply for Free School Meals you can complete the form at https://www.stockton.gov.uk/article/2540/Apply-for-free-school-meals/) for their child/children. In addition to securing free school meals, this would also result in the school receiving Pupil Premium funding from central government which we can then utilise to support your child with additional educational opportunities.

As a school we want to open up all opportunities to all students and do not want financial difficulties to be a barrier to these opportunities for pupils. We would always welcome dialogue with parents/carers to discuss how we can offer support in these circumstances. Our Pupil Premium lead in school is Dr S McGravey. Please feel free to contact Dr S McGravey or your child’s Head of Year to discuss these matters further.

The Funding

The guidelines for how to allocate the funding are issued by the Department for Education and can be accessed by following the link below:

⚽️☘️Double delight for St Patrick’s Year 10 & 11’s☘️⚽️

Both our Year 10 and Year 11 boys football teams embarked on their ESFA journeys with trips to Darlington to play St Aidan’s with both teams being successful in reaching the next round of the competition.

The Year 10 team won with a 2 -0 victory with both goals coming from impressive striker Abdul A. The team were inspired by strong performances from key players Cyrus B, Archer T, Joseph B and skipper Josh H.

Our Year 11 boys were also successful facing a stern test against a determined St Aidans side. Felix O opened the scoring before a defensive mix up led to an equaliser for the home side. In a keenly contested game St Patrick’s skipper James H and Olly W scored the crucial goals to ease the team into the next round.

Well done to both teams who continue to represent the school with great pride and team work🤩
